Curriculum Medicine-Science
The Curriculum Medicine-Science Rabelais of the Faculty Montpellier-Nîmes
Created in September 2018 with the support of the Labex EpiGenMed, the Faculty Montpellier-Nîmes' Medicine-Science Rabelais Curriculum allows young students in medicine, pharmacology and odontology, motivated by fundamental and / or translational research in health, to benefit from a solid scientific background, from the second year of medical course (DFGSM2).
During the first year of the curricula, the theoretical training is based on the courses taught in the BioHealth and Numerical Sciences for Health Master degrees in Montpellier. It is completed by two laboratory internships of 3 months each, and by the participation in the EpiGenMed Workshop, training of excellence in Montpellier. Students then enter a Master 2 program, after which they will be able to apply for a thesis studentship before or after finishing their medical cursus. Medicine-Science Rabelais curricula is an important vectors for building long-lasting links with clinic for shaping the medicine of tomorrow.
Selected based on their motivation and interest in research, candidates must also demonstrate a real personal investment. The teaching team will meet this requirement by supporting each student with a tutor. Candidates must contact the masters' office of the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, at the beginning of the DFGSM2, every year between the month of September and October.
